September in Wisconsin ushers in cooler weather, changing trees, and FSC's Technology Day. For those who were able to join, you know that nothing beats a sunny Wisconsin fall day, except hydraulics. If you couldn't join us, check out this quick recap of the day!
FSC displayed our newly designed mini feller buncher, which was a hit with visitors! The feller buncher showcased our team's engineering and manufacturing capabilities, as the entire unit was designed and manufactured in-house. As part of the build process, we showcased numerous Rexroth mobile control components, including the RC5/6 40 series controller, DI4 touchscreen display, Sense+ joysticks, EDG compact directional valve assembly, and PR4 pressure sensors. We'd also like to give a quick shout-out to LaserForm, LLC, for supplying all the custom steel parts.
The timed competition gave attendees the chance to be operators, which looked easier than it was! The competition was fun to watch, and our first and second-place winners were close! Congratulations to Aaron Eltrich with a first-place time of 2:00 and Corey Berthel came in as a close second with a time of 2:14.
The automation test stand is a dynamic and versatile system that showcases the power of Rexroth Industrial Controls and its adaptability to a multitude of applications, from paper machine functions to press applications and multi-axis synchronization. This platform demonstrates how our solutions can be seamlessly integrated into various industrial settings.
The Infinity Test Stand was exclusively designed to evaluate custom-built hydraulic power units for one of our long-term customers. This investment underscores our dedication to delivering the highest quality components and ensuring that their equipment consistently meets and exceeds their expectations.
If you attended our event, you know that the demonstrations inside were equally matched outside. The Bosch Rexroth Connected Hydraulics Roadshow was set up and shared the best of Rexroth’s hydraulics offerings. From their CytroBox to IoT and valves, the hum of the truck kept everyone engaged and learning. TimberPro, Hydac, and Pierce adorned our parking lot with machinery and the ability to see our products in action!
All of that, combined with a great line-up of vendors, a few fluid power classes taught by industry experts, and some good food, kept our visitors engaged, educated, and having fun. Those who completed the tour and turned in their “Passports to Technology” were entered into the raffle prize drawings to win toolboxes, a generator, Packers tickets, and more!
We would like to recognize the following raffle prize winners:
- Rolling Toolboxes: Aaron LaCrosse & Mike Schoen
- Tool Sets: Tom Wegner & James Kluth
- Dewalt Generator: Brian Piller
- Grill: Doug Seeger
- Sy-Klone Gift Basket: Don Blashka
- 2 Packers Tickets: Brady Mcintee
We appreciate the support of our vendors, partners, customers, and visitors who helped us make Technology Day 2023 a success! We look forward to seeing you all in the future.
